4 Things You Can Do Today To Enhance Your Self-Love

Let’s be honest, we are all hard on ourselves.

Negativity, comparison and judgment come to us way too easily. We find it so easy to focus in on these things. I mean, I know I have been upset when I showed up to a party where someone else was wearing the same thing I was.

But this way of thinking is so 2000 and late.

We are making a change for the better. We are here for growth, love, happiness and empowerment.

Let’s get on the path to all the good things we want. And it all starts with you and your self-love.

Here are 4 things you can do daily to enhance your self-love:

  1. Don’t be negative. Easy to say right? Well, here is how you can do that. When you say something negative about yourself or someone else, I want you to quickly think of 3 things that make that person (or you) amazing. This can be something you admire about them or maybe a compliment about their outfit. You will eventually build the habit of focusing on positive things and the negative voice will become quieter and quieter.

  2. Write affirmations. This is my favourite thing to do. Think of a handful of affirmations that make you feel empowered or help tell a better story than the negative voice in your head tells. Here are a few examples to get you started:

    • I achieve all my goals with ease

    • I am worthy of having what I desire and more

    • I attract money and abundance with ease

      The key is for some part of you to believe that this affirmation holds truth. If you cannot feel that, then the affirmations will not help you feel high vibe. Instead of saying “i am” change it to “i believe”. If you can believe in Santa Clause you can believe in your self.

    • I believe anything is possible for me

    • I believe I can manifest the things I desire

  3. Meditate. I am big on meditation because it allows me to be present. It is a great tool to help you relax, spend sometime making yourself a priority, and connecting to your self. Often times we are consumed by what others say, think or expect that we forget to turn inward to what we want. P.S.: I only do 5 -10 minute meditations and it makes a huge difference.

  4. Treat yourself. If you love receiving flowers, go buy yourself some flowers. You are in a relationship with yourself. Make it a fabulous one!
